Air Quality in Greater Manchester – a public health emergency (Open Meeting) .     

This month’s open meeting features…Dr Ian Mudway, King’s College London one of the UK’s leading researchers on air quality and particularly the impacts of air pollution on children.

Between now and May 2017, we will be lobbying all the GM Mayoral election candidates to take urgent action to improve air quality in Greater Manchester.

Manchester Friends of the Earth believes that the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and Mayor need to provide clear leadership on urgent actions to improve air quality by reducing single-occupancy car journeys, cleaning up bus engines, and providing an environment that enables and encourages people of all ages to walk and cycle.

We will also have an update of recent events and upcoming campaign activities.
